Pilgrimage to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and a stop at the Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem – You don't have to travel all the way to Mexico City to admire the image of the Virgin Mary when she miraculously appeared on the cloak of St. Juan Diego, an Aztec peasant, in 1531. A full-size copy of the colorful image hangs inside Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Allentown. Please join us as we plan to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Christ Child with a pilgrimage on her feast day, Thursday, December 12, 2019 to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Christkindlmarkt, a famous and historic Christmas market in the nearby Christmas City of Bethlehem. Cost per person is $33.00 and includes admission to Christkindlmarkt. Bus will depart from in front of St. Joseph School at 9:00 AM. Fr. Marcoe will offer Mass at 12:00 and also present a talk about Our Lady's miraculous image. Please bring a bag lunch to eat after Mass at the Shrine before heading to Christkindlmarkt. We will be stopping at Leiby’s in Tamaqua for supper on the way home and should be back around 8:00.
